Lot 84:
Vintage Oil on Canvas Signed European Harbor Scene
Description
C-22349
Oil on canvas depicting a European harbor or canal at dusk, with moored boats and densely grouped historic buildings beneath a dramatic golden-gray sky. Signed lower right; artist signature is difficult to decipher. Signature on lower right corner appears to read "Roy Corleanz."
Painting shows extensive craquelure, lifting and actively flaking paint, and numerous areas of paint loss exposing the canvas, particularly along the upper and outer edges. Scattered abrasions and surface grime are present, with a water stain visible on the reverse along the left side. Canvas remains attached to its stretcher. Please refer to photos regarding condition.
