c. mid 20th century; Schatz (Germany), General Electric, and Sessions Clock Co. – Forestville, CT Group of three clocks including a Schatz anniversary clock under a clear plastic dome, a General Electric electric alarm clock, and a Sessions metal alarm clock. Schatz anniversary clocks use a torsion pendulum designed to run up to 400 days on a single winding. General Electric clocks of this period were among the first widely adopted plug-in household clocks, relying on synchronous motors tied to power grid frequency.
Anniversary clock not working and appears to be broken – sold for parts. Dome is plastic, not glass, and shows surface wear. GE clock untested; functionality unknown. Sessions clock shows wear and is loose in its stand. Surface wear, scratches, and age-related wear present throughout. Sold as is.
