c. mid-19th century; American manufacture Wooden column and mirror shelf clock with painted dial, Roman numerals, and dual winding arbors. This “column & mirror” form became popular in the United States from the 1820s–1860s, often featuring reverse-painted tablets and gilt columns. These clocks were mass-produced and made affordable through early American industrialization of clockmaking.
Left column is slightly loose. Dial shows paint loss and wear. Surface wear and scratches to case. Mirror present beneath clock. Untested; functionality unknown. Sold as is.
