This boxed "Miss World’s Fair" flying model airplane was manufactured by the Scientific Model Airplane Company of Newark, New Jersey, under license for the New York World’s Fair. Designed with a 50" wingspan and capable of flying up to a mile, the kit includes all original materials such as pre-shaped parts, propeller, wheels, metal fittings, and full-size plan with instructions. This piece reflects the promotional and hobby culture of the late 1930s-early 1940s, when World’s Fair memorabilia often doubled as functional toys.
Box shows minor edge and corner wear with some small surface abrasions. Graphics remain vivid.
