c. 1930s-1940s; R. E. Dietz Company – New York, NY Pressed-steel kerosene lantern finished in original blue paint with embossed DIETZ LITTLE WIZARD N.Y. U.S.A. globe. Produced by the R. E. Dietz Company, a New York-based manufacturer established in 1840 and long celebrated for its rugged, windproof lanterns, this model was designed for dependable outdoor and industrial use. The Little Wizard featured an efficient air-tube draft system and compact tank, making it a mainstay among farmers, rail workers, and campers through much of the 20th century.
Retains much of its original paint with scattered rust, oxidation, and soot throughout-consistent with authentic field use.
