c. 1973; Dave Grossman Designs, Inc. – Licensed by The Saturday Evening Post Co. Hand-painted porcelain figurine numbered NR-1, titled Redhead, depicting a barefoot young boy with bright red hair, holding a slingshot behind his back and standing beside his discarded shoes. The figure recreates Norman Rockwell’s Saturday Evening Post cover from September 16, 1916, one of the earliest pieces adapted in the Grossman line. The base is impressed "NR-1" and dated accordingly, confirming this as the first issue in the Norman Rockwell figurine series.
Excellent overall with bright coloration and minimal base wear. No chips, cracks, or repairs observed.
