c. 1930s-1940s; Victor Adding Machine Co. – Chicago, IL Heavy cast-metal adding machine finished in black enamel with "Victor" lettering in gold across the front and back panels. The machine features a full column of numbered ivory and black keys, red and blue function buttons, and a mechanical arm for manual operation. A built-in receipt paper roll remains intact at the rear, feeding through twin red ink ribbon spools. The green keybed and precision detailing reflect the industrial design and mechanical craftsmanship of early 20th-century office equipment. Founded in 1918 in Chicago, the Victor Adding Machine Co. became one of the foremost American makers of office calculating machines, later expanding into cash registers and early computing systems through mid century.
Shows moderate finish wear, light paint loss at edges, and oxidation to exposed metal components; levers and buttons move freely.
