This group of ten clear plastic tubes contains labeled sample quantities of Elephant Brand Fertilizer, a product line distributed by Cominco (Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada) in Trail, British Columbia. Each tube features a bold yellow and white label with the Elephant Brand mascot and nutrient information such as Ammonium Phosphate, Urea, or Sulphate, with respective NPK ratios (e.g. 45-0-0, 11-48-0, etc.). Likely dating to the mid-20th century, these samples would have been provided to agricultural distributors, dealers, or demonstration events as promotional reference material to showcase Cominco’s diverse line of water-soluble fertilizers.
General age discoloration to labels and some wear to plastic. Labels remain legible and intact.
