This early tin flour sifter features embossed branding for the Hunters Sifter and was manufactured by The Fred J. Meyers MFG Co. of Hamilton, Ohio. Its utilitarian cylindrical form includes a side-mounted crank handle with original black-painted wood knob and a simple wire mesh agitator inside. Labeled "Standard of the World, " the Hunters Sifter line was marketed for its durability and ease of use in both domestic and commercial kitchens during the early 20th century. Fred J. Meyers was known for producing a wide range of kitchen tools and housewares from the late 1800s through the 1930s.

Rust patina and darkened surface throughout; crank operates but is stiff. Embossed text remains visible.
