Lot 45:
Description
C-15509
This after-Mouli vintage potato ricer features bold red enameled handles and a perforated metal basket designed for pressing cooked potatoes or vegetables into a fine mash. The hinged design allows for easy leverage while the simple construction reflects utilitarian mid century kitchenware design. Ricers like this were common in American and European households from the 1940s through the 1960s, used in everyday cooking before the rise of electric food processors. The red enamel coating was typical of the era’s colorful, cheerful approach to kitchen tools.
Minor enamel loss and surface wear from use; metal basket is clean and free of corrosion. Hinges function smoothly.
