This hand-lettered wooden composite street sign reads "NO PARKING ON THIS SIDE OF THE STREET" in bold blue block text over a white painted background. Framed by a single-line blue border, the sign was likely made for municipal, neighborhood, or private enforcement use. The pre-drilled holes suggest it was once mounted to a post, fence, or building. Painted wood-type signage like this was common in the mid-20th century before the widespread adoption of aluminum and reflective materials. It reflects a utilitarian, small-town approach to traffic regulation with hand-crafted durability.
Surface scuffing, light edge wear, and minor paint loss. Mounting holes show oxidation and wear from use. Lettering remains crisp and easily legible.
