c. 1950s-1960s; Rosko Toys – Japan Battery-operated tin litho sedan toy with whimsical styling and original box. Produced by Rosko Toys during Japan’s mid-century toy manufacturing boom, the "Grand-Pa Car" is a charmingly exaggerated take on an early 20th-century touring sedan. Crafted from brightly lithographed tinplate, it features a deep maroon body with red-and-black spoke wheels, a yellow grille, and detailed printed windows. Its elongated profile and chauffeur-style cabin evoke the spirit of a vintage limousine. A toggle-style on/off switch is mounted at the front grille, activating motion and light-up functions (untested). Marketed as a battery-powered toy "with imagination, " the piece includes its original illustrated box and stands as a colorful example of postwar Japanese toy design.

The toy remains in excellent visual condition, with surface wear, paint loss, and surface oxidation visible on the underside. The box shows expected wear with corners being crushed, cardboard separations, scuffs, and edge creases. Please refer to photos regarding condition.

Box is 5" W x 10" L x 4.5" H
