This grouping includes a mid-19th century single-shot flintlock pistol, wooden powder horn, and a well-worn leather cartridge pouch. Flintlock pistols of this style were carried as sidearms during the Civil War period, offering a compact and reliable personal weapon for officers and soldiers alike. The powder horn, fashioned from natural horn with wooden plug and fitted spout, was used to store black powder for reloading. The cartridge pouch retains its strap and flap closure, showing heavy wear from age and use.
The pistol displays a dark patina with surface oxidation, a smooth wooden grip, and intact hammer and trigger mechanism, though it has not been test-fired. The powder horn and pouch both exhibit deep age character, reflecting decades of storage and use. Together, they represent the tools of a 19th-century soldier and offer strong display appeal for collectors of Civil War militaria.
