Description
C-17796
c. 1960s-1970s; Jeannette Glass Co. – Jeannette, PA & Anchor Hocking – Lancaster, OH Set of two vintage glass pitchers: • Jeannette Glass Co. – "Tree Bark/Crepe" Pattern in Marigold Carnival Tall ribbed pitcher with vertical striations, flared body, and applied handle. Finished in a marigold carnival iridescence, part of Jeannette’s mid-century pressed glass output. • Anchor Hocking – "Milano" (Lido) Pattern in Honey Gold Rounded pitcher with heavily textured "crinkle" surface, bold applied handle, and wide spout. The Milano/Lido line was among Anchor Hocking’s most recognizable textured glass patterns of the late 1960s-1970s, sold in a variety of bold colors. Both companies were major American glassmakers of the 20th century: Jeannette specialized in Depression-era and carnival glass, while Anchor Hocking became a household name in affordable pressed and patterned glassware.
Both pitchers show light surface wear from age and handling; no major chips or cracks noted, but Milano shows a small interior chip as shot.
Jeannette: 10" H
