c. 1920s-1930s; (likely) Arcade Manufacturing Co. – Freeport, IL Miniature cast iron toy stove embossed "QUEEN" on the oven door, complete with stove top burners, chimney, and ornate base. This example retains a small copper kettle and three matching pots, along with a detachable side oven door. Toy stoves such as this were produced by companies like Arcade and Kenton, designed as scaled-down versions of full-size parlor and kitchen stoves of the early 20th century. They were marketed both as playthings and as educational models, allowing children to mimic domestic life. The detailed casting and removable parts demonstrate the craftsmanship associated with American cast iron toys of the period.
Shows age-appropriate surface wear and oxidation across the body, with darkened patina throughout. Accessories show denting and tarnish consistent with long use and storage. Structurally solid with no breaks.
