c. 1982; The Norman Rockwell Museum Inc. – Made in Japan Hand-painted porcelain figurine titled "The Drummer’s Friend", depicting a young boy and his loyal dog marching beside a uniformed drummer in full parade dress. The scene is inspired by Norman Rockwell’s celebrated small-town Americana illustrations and bears the official Norman Rockwell Museum hallmark and 1982 copyright on the base. Produced under license by the Norman Rockwell Museum, this series faithfully re-created Rockwell’s compositions in three-dimensional porcelain form, manufactured in Japan with finely applied hand-paint and expressive detail throughout.
Excellent overall. Bright, clean surfaces with no visible chips or cracks; light shelf wear to the base felt pads only.
