The scene conveys an Edwardian-era couple at play: a young woman lining up a shot while a well-dressed gentleman stands ready with mallet in hand beside the croquet set. This piece is modeled after Norman Rockwell’s September 5, 1931 cover illustration for The Saturday Evening Post. Evidence of its identity includes the underside marking "© The Saturday Evening Post Co. 1982 Dave Grossman Designs, Inc. NR-41". 
Very good. Paint remains vibrant throughout; no visible chips or cracks. Light shelf wear to the base edges.
