c. 1950s-1960s; The Grapette Co., Inc. – Camden, AK This vintage advertising thermometer was produced for Lymette, a regional soft drink brand promoted as "Sparkling, Bubbling, Enchanting." The piece is made in the shape of a large green bottle cap, with embossed ridged edges and bold white script lettering across the dial. A working thermometer scale in both Fahrenheit and Celsius spans the face, with decorative bubble graphics enhancing the soda theme. Advertising thermometers of this style were widely distributed to grocery stores, diners, and service stations in the mid-20th century as promotional signage.
This example shows bright original color with light surface wear and scratches, and retains its hanging loop for display.
