Description

C-21639

c. 1960s; Turner Manufacturing Co. – Chicago, IL

Framed decorative print after Andrew Wyeth depicting Brinton’s Mill, based on the artist’s original 1958 drybrush painting. The composition portrays the historic grist mill in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, blanketed in snow, one of Wyeth’s most recognizable rural subjects from the Brandywine Valley. The print is mounted beneath a fabric-covered mat with an inner black border and housed in a walnut-finished wood frame with gilt accent liner. The reverse retains its original Turner Wall Accessory label and style tag (Style No. 3693), identifying it as a mid-century decorative wall accessory produced for the home furnishings market.

Shows light to moderate age-related wear. Print exhibits mild toning consistent with age. Fabric mat remains generally clean with scattered light discoloration and minor spotting. Frame displays light scratches, edge wear, and minor finish loss. Reverse paper dust cover shows tears, losses, creasing, and age-related discoloration but retains its original Turner label, style tag, and hanging hardware.
