Lot 8:
Rustic Wagon Wheel Hub Table Lamp
Description
C-21628
Rustic table lamp crafted from an authentic antique wooden wagon wheel hub converted for household use during the mid-twentieth century. The hand-hewn hub, dating from the horse-drawn transportation era, retains its weathered surface, deep age cracks, and rectangular spoke mortises, while the later electrical conversion reflects the popularity of Early American and Western-inspired décor during the 1950s–1970s. Includes the pictured fabric shade.
Lamp is in working condition. Antique wagon hub exhibits age-related shrinkage, surface wear, checking, and numerous natural cracks consistent with its original use and age. The wooden base displays a significant crack surrounding the cord exit as shown. Later electrical components exhibit expected age-related wear. Fabric lampshade remains in very good condition with only light handling wear. Bulb is not included.
