Description

C-21781

The item is a three-drawer bedside cabinet with molded top, recessed panel sides, and turned wooden drawer pulls. The cabinet exhibits mixed construction features, including the drawers utilizing dovetailing, a replacement or later back panel that differs from the remainder of the case, modern replacement screws, and evidence of alterations, suggesting it may have been reconstructed or assembled using components from more than one cabinet. Overall design is consistent with late twentieth-century furniture influenced by Victorian and country revival styles, circa 1970s – 1990s.

Displays scattered scratches, finish wear, and edge abrasions consistent with use. Top has a full-length crack and finish staining. Interior of the top drawer has a dark ink or marker-like stain. Bottom drawer is missing its rear stop, allowing it to be pushed in farther than designed. Back left corner has been intentionally cut away, and the back panel does not match the rest of the cabinet. Majority of the exposed screw heads are modern replacements dating from the late twentieth century or later. Structurally sound overall with alterations and repairs as described. Sold as is.
