Lot 62:
Framed July 11 1953 Calendar Page
Description
C-21778
Framed original calendar page displaying Saturday, July 11, 1953 in bold black typography. Calendar pages of this type were commonly retained and framed to commemorate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or other significant family milestones. July 11, 1953 fell during the final weeks of the Korean War before the signing of the Armistice Agreement later that month and amid a period of postwar growth across the United States, providing historical context for the date.
Calendar page is mounted slightly off center within the frame. Backing board exhibits moisture staining. The inexpensive plastic frame shows light surface wear consistent with age and use. No glass is present.
