Description

C-21777

Framed print after Rudy Droguett’s Cat and Mouse, presented under glass with a wide gray mat and black metal frame. The composition depicts the view from inside a mouse hole, where a small mouse faces the enlarged, intensely rendered face of a tabby cat peering through the opening. The original artwork was executed in scratchboard, a technique that creates high-contrast imagery by incising through a black ink surface to reveal a white clay ground beneath. The print bears Droguett’s block-letter signature in the lower right.

Frame exhibits scratches, scuffs, and finish wear throughout. Glass has a small edge chip. Dust and general age-related accumulation are present beneath the glass. The mat shows slight discoloration consistent with age. The artwork has not been examined outside the frame.
