Description

This item is presented to you in partnership with Heirloom Estate Sales of Sycamore, IL.

1969 Cadillac Coupe DeVille Convertible finished in dark blue over a blue interior with a white convertible top. Powered by Cadillac’s 472 cubic-inch V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission and equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, and other factory luxury appointments. According to the consignor, the car was originally finished in pink before being repainted blue early in its life. The vehicle has reportedly remained stored inside a steel building with concrete floors for more than 35 years. It is believed to be a two-owner automobile and is described as complete, retaining its original hubcaps, fender skirts, trim, and major components. The car is accompanied by a clear title and two sets of keys.

NOTE: The canoe is NOT included with the sale of the vehicle. It is only included in photos for demonstration.

Vehicle presents as a complete restoration candidate with age-related deterioration throughout. Paint exhibits widespread oxidation, scratches, chips, fading, and numerous areas of surface rust and corrosion, particularly along the lower body panels, wheel arches, rocker panels, quarter panels, and door bottoms. Rust perforation is visible in several lower body areas. Chrome and brightwork display oxidation, staining, and pitting. Convertible top is intact but shows heavy discoloration, soiling, and age-related wear. Interior shows wear to upholstery, carpeting, dash, and trim consistent with long-term storage, while remaining largely complete. Consignor states the vehicle ran when parked more than 35 years ago but has not been operated since. Mechanical condition is unknown and the vehicle should be considered non-running pending inspection and recommissioning. Trunk lock is currently inoperative, preventing inspection of the trunk contents. Driver’s door lock is believed to have been re-keyed at some point. Sold with title and two sets of keys.
