c. early to mid 20th century; American Cast iron desktop letter or napkin holder formed as a stylized handled pitcher within a floral base. The piece features a vertical retaining plate secured by an adjustable central screw mechanism, allowing papers, letters, or napkins to be held in place. The decorative silhouette and flowing lines reflect early 20th century Art Nouveau and Victorian revival influences commonly seen in desk and tabletop accessories of the period.
Stamped made in Taiwan. Finished in a gilt-toned surface with age-related wear throughout. Retains its original screw assembly and overall structure. Shows surface wear, oxidation, finish loss, and general age-related wear throughout. Retains adjustable screw mechanism.
