c. 1950s–1960s; Pepsi Cola General Bottlers Inc – USA Wooden soda crate with yellow painted exterior panels and bold blue “PEPSI COLA” lettering to the sides, along with “Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers, Inc.” text to the end panels. Constructed with slatted wood sides and base, reinforced with metal corner brackets and riveted edge straps. Interior retains stamped markings including “A.W.P. Cases” and location text, indicating manufacture and distribution use. Open handholds are cut into each end for carrying, consistent with mid-century beverage crate design used for glass bottle transport.
Shows moderate to heavy wear consistent with use, including paint loss, surface scuffing, and discoloration throughout. Wood exhibits staining, scratches, and age wear, with visible wear to the base slats from use. Metal corner brackets show oxidation. Structurally solid with strong display appeal.
