c. 1940s–1950s; Shure Brothers Inc. – Chicago, IL. Cast metal dynamic microphone featuring the iconic “bullet” form with horizontal grille slots and integrated pivot mount. Retains original finish with visible texture and wear, along with a partially intact Shure label indicating model 556S and controlled magnetic dynamic design. Commonly used for public address, radio broadcast, and early stage performance, this model became a recognizable mid-century microphone form.
Heavy wear throughout, including oxidation, surface corrosion, and finish loss. Label is worn but partially legible. Untested, sold as-is.
