Description

C-18117

Elegant trio of mid century glass and silverplate serving pieces including a handled coffee carafe, a small candy dish with ornate repoussé floral banding, and a pressed glass bowl with a silverplated rim. The carafe features a hand-blown Corning body with fitted silver collar, hinged lid, and scrolled handle, designed for both coffee and cordial service. The matching bowl and candy dish exhibit fine decorative detailing, typical of transitional Art Deco-to-Traditional tableware. Together they form a cohesive and refined grouping for display or light service. During the interwar and postwar years, European and American makers such as F.B. Rogers, Sheridan, and WMF popularized the blending of pressed glass and silverplate-producing durable, decorative domestic wares that bridged practicality and refinement.

All pieces show age-consistent tarnish, minor surface wear, and light residue within the glass bases. Overall good vintage condition.
