c. 1900s-1920s; United States Pottery Company – Wellsville, Ohio, USA Five-piece semi-vitreous porcelain lemonade or water set produced by the United States Pottery Company of Wellsville, Ohio. The set includes a tall handled pitcher and four matching tumblers, each decorated with a rich cluster of purple Concord-style grapes against a softly shaded ivory ground. The pitcher features a flared, scalloped rim, elongated applied handle with molded detailing, and subtle olive-toned Art Nouveau style trailing along the body. The tumblers echo the grape transfer and display gentle form tapering with lightly rolled rims. The surface exhibits a warm, flowing background glaze with organic, sinuous tonal movement typical of early 20th-century American semi-vitreous porcelain. The grape decoration is transfer-based with hand-finished accents, producing depth and naturalistic shading. The sculpted lower edge of the pitcher and soft undulating glaze pattern give the set a distinctly transitional Victorian-to-Art Nouveau aesthetic, consistent with U.S. Pottery Co. production during its relatively short operational window (1893-1922).
Condition is good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Light surface crazing present throughout, most visible on the tumblers. Minor staining and glaze discoloration consistent with age and prior use. No major cracks or structural damage observed. Handles intact and secure.
