Lot 91:
Description
C-15502
This pair of vintage porcelain rolling pins features delicate hand-applied floral decals, one with vibrant pansies and the other with dainty pastel garlands. Likely produced as decorative kitchenware or souvenir items, both pieces include hollow interiors-one with a cork stopper-suggesting they may have originally been intended as functional water-filled rollers for dough or as warming tools. These types of porcelain rolling pins were commonly produced in the late 19th to early 20th century, particularly by English and German manufacturers such as Limoges, Dresden, or Staffordshire potteries, often intended for display or light kitchen use.
Light surface wear to the glaze and decals. One pin is missing a cork stopper, the other features a lace ribbon accent. No visible cracks or chips.
Each approx. 15" L
