This pair of framed plaques each features a classical-style female profile in metallic relief mounted on an octagonal black backing. The backgrounds have a mottled copper-toned finish, set within black frames with gilt trim. The designs draw on neoclassical portraiture, reminiscent of ancient Roman or Greek medallion art, and were likely produced as decorative wall pieces in the mid-20th century.
Visible oxidation and surface wear to copper-toned backgrounds; frames show light edge wear.
