Lot 549:
Description
C-18293
Set of two pressed and molded glass cornucopia-form vases, one in clear glass with a wide ruffled rim and the other in faint yellow-tinted glass with fluted vertical panels. Each rests on a curled horn base and circular foot, reflecting mid century interpretations of the classical cornucopia motif popular in both floral and holiday centerpieces. Produced by various American glassmakers during the mid-20th century, cornucopia vases like these were often sold as decorative pairs or centerpiece sets, embodying the period’s graceful balance of utility and ornamental design.
Both pieces show minor surface wear and light base scuffing; no visible chips or cracks.
Tall vase: 7" W x 9.25" H
