c. 1900s-1910s Set of three porcelain advertising soup cups featuring flared forms, gilt rims, and floral transfer decoration in shades of pink and green. Each cup bears a different promotional mark-Armour’s Beef Tea, Cudahy’s Rexsoma, and Armour’s Bouillon Cubes-representing two of the largest Midwestern meatpacking and food product companies of the early 20th century. These were likely issued as premium giveaways or point-of-sale advertising pieces, designed to blend domestic elegance with brand identity. Porcelain advertising ware of this type was commonly manufactured in England for American firms between 1900 and 1915, reflecting a popular cross between commercial branding and household ornamentation.
Exhibits light rubbing to gilt rims and faint crazing consistent with age; no visible cracks or repairs.
