c. 1975; Dave Grossman Designs, Inc. – Licensed by The Saturday Evening Post Co. Hand-painted porcelain figurine titled "Circus, " depicting a seated clown reading from a script while a young boy stands nearby with hands behind his back. The scene captures the nostalgic warmth of early 20th-century Americana illustration, inspired by The Saturday Evening Post’s sentimental storytelling. Fine detailing in the clown’s red-spotted costume and the boy’s rustic attire highlights the expressive character work typical of Grossman’s mid-1970s figurines. The underside is marked "© The Saturday Evening Post Co. 1975 – Dave Grossman Designs, Inc." and impressed "May 18, 1918"-a nod to the original illustration date from which this sculpture was derived in addition to the impressed number NR-22. Dave Grossman Designs, founded in the mid-20th century, became known for producing licensed ceramic adaptations of beloved Saturday Evening Post and Norman Rockwell scenes, celebrated for their charm and faithful craftsmanship.

Excellent overall condition with minimal wear. Paint retains good vibrancy with only minor shelf wear to base.
