Description

C-18363

c. 1983; Gorham – Japan (Limited Edition of 7,500 pieces) Detailed porcelain figurine titled "Antique Dealer, " depicting a lady and a gentleman examining a brass urn or lamp, modeled after the Norman Rockwell cover painting of 19 May 1934 from the Saturday Evening Post. The base is marked with foil label "From The Gift World of Gorham Made in Japan, " and inscribed "Limited Edition – 7,500 pieces" with number visible on the underside. The model showcases fine hand-painting, crisp detail in accessories, and typical Rockwell-style narrative charm. The Gorham company, founded in 1831 in Providence, Rhode Island, gained renown for high-quality silverware and later fine porcelain collectibles; their officially licensed Rockwell series from the 1970s-80s became widely collected but remain moderately accessible today.

Overall very good condition: minimal shelf wear to base edge, paint surface clean, no visible chips or cracks; some nominal discoloration of base underside from age.
