General Antiques and Collectibles Spring Auction
Lot 518:
Description
C-14275
c. 1920s; Dr. Max Lehmann & Co. – Berlin Original Glattolin trade label mounted in a bold, black textured frame with crimson matting. Glattolin was an early 20th-century German product used to stiffen and smooth men’s detachable collars (essential in an era when polished appearance was a mark of status). This particular graphic features the company’s registered trademark along with a stylized image of a man applying the wax. Stark black and sepia tones lend a moody, graphic quality to the miniature print. Framed and preserved as a slice of grooming history,
Item has not been inspected outside of the frame. Please refer to photos regarding condition.
