This framed original copy of LIFE magazine features the iconic cover of its very first issue, dated November 23, 1936. The striking black-and-white photograph of Fort Peck Dam by Margaret Bourke-White marked the debut of what would become one of the most influential photojournalism magazines in American history. The magazine is matted in gray with a red accent and housed in a slim red metal frame.
Light edge toning and residual tape visible on the magazine. Frame and mat are clean and professionally presented. This piece has not been inspected outside of the frame.
