c. 1950s; Louis Marx & Co. – New York, NY Collection of boxed figure sets by Louis Marx & Co., titled "Presidents of the United States." Each box features colorful litho graphics of the White House alongside presidential portraits, and the set inside contains molded figures representing every president from George Washington through Dwight D. Eisenhower, with the addition of First Lady Mamie Eisenhower. Marx, one of the largest and most influential American toy manufacturers of the 20th century, produced a wide range of playsets, figurines, and character toys that captured the imagination of postwar America. These presidential sets reflected both the company’s educational ambitions and the mid-century fascination with patriotic collectibles. A rare grouping complete through the Eisenhower era, especially notable for the inclusion of Mamie Eisenhower alongside her husband.
Boxes exhibit light age wear, edge scuffing, and minor creasing, with colors remaining bold and vibrant. All figures are present and in excellent, unused condition.
