c. 1920s; Herman H. Sticht Co., Inc. – New York, NY Mechanical hand tachometer, Type UO, manufactured by Herman H. Sticht Co. The instrument features a large circular dial with finely graduated increments, measuring revolutions per minute (R.P.M.) and related speed values. It includes an interchangeable tip, housed in its original green fitted case with red felt lining and instruction sheet affixed to the interior. The Herman H. Sticht Company, based in New York, was a notable American supplier of precision gauges and mechanical instruments during the mid-20th century, producing tachometers, pyrometers, and measuring devices for industrial and laboratory applications.

Shows wear to case exterior with scuffing and fading to cloth covering; interior lining intact though soiled from use. Dial face remains clean and legible, with pointer and adjustment ring moving freely.
