The scale ranges from 90° to 110°F, with a bold marking at 103°F-the optimal setting for incubation. Manufactured by The Buckeye Incubator Company of Springfield, Ohio, a leading firm in poultry-raising equipment established in the late 19th century, the company gained prominence for making incubators and brooders that modernized small- and large-scale farming operations alike.
