c. 1980s; M.S.R. Imports, Inc. – Pennsauken, NJ Cast iron reproduction of an early 20th-century U.S. Mail horse-drawn wagon toy, finished in black and green paint with gold detailing. The wagon features embossed "U.S. Mail" lettering, a molded driver, and a horse in harness with yellow cord reins. Rolling cast iron wheels complete the period-inspired look. M.S.R. Imports, Inc., active in the late 20th century, was a notable distributor of reproduction cast iron toys and banks manufactured primarily in Japan or Taiwan. Their pieces often replicated popular American originals from the early 1900s, making them collectible in their own right.
This example shows sharp casting lines and bright paint, with light handling wear consistent with later reproduction work rather than antique manufacture.
