c. 1920s; Kingery Mfg. Co. – Cincinnati, OH/Clipper Fountain Supply Co. – Troy, NY Pair of vintage mechanical ice cream scoops, each with integral release mechanisms. One is stamped Kingery Mfg. Co., featuring a cast handle with thumb-operated lever for portion release. The other is marked Clipper Fountain Supply Co., with a spring-driven scraper and black painted grip, reflecting its soda fountain heritage. The Kingery Manufacturing Company and Clipper Fountain Supply Co. were both regional suppliers of soda fountain and ice cream service equipment in the early 20th century. Their durable, mechanical dishers became fixtures in ice cream parlors, diners, and drugstore counters across America.
both scoops show patina, plating wear, and surface scratches consistent with age and heavy use. Release mechanisms remain operable.
