Description
C-19593
c. 1930s–1940s; Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company – Roseville, OH
Green-glazed ceramic jardiniere featuring a ribbed lower body and geometric chevron band encircling the shoulder, a design strongly influenced by the streamlined forms of the Art Deco period. The vessel’s flared rim and vertical fluting create a structured, architectural silhouette, while the matte-to-satin green glaze pools slightly in the recessed areas, highlighting the molded ornamentation.
The base is marked “RRP Co.” for Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company, one of the largest utilitarian pottery manufacturers operating in Roseville, Ohio during the early twentieth century.
Shows light age-related wear including minor glaze scuffs and light surface marks consistent with use as a planter. Interior exhibits typical staining from soil use.
