Multi-Estate Spring 2026 Auction
Lot 497:
Description
C-19590
Two ceramic bottle-form vases showcasing contrasting mid-century glazing styles. The larger example features a rounded, bulbous body finished in a deep oxblood red glaze with dramatic pooling and tonal variation, transitioning to a cobalt-toned neck that adds a striking visual contrast. Beside it stands a slender, softly tapered bottle vase in a matte pink glaze with subtle speckling and a narrow collar lip.
The red example displays visible glaze movement and darker streaking typical of high-fire oxblood finishes, while the pink vase offers a softer, understated surface treatment with fine speckling throughout the body.
Shows light age-related wear including minor surface marks and small glaze imperfections consistent with production and age. No major cracks observed.
Red: 5.25” dia x 9.25” H
