Group of five Standard Oil service station road maps printed by Rand McNally and distributed through the Standard Oil Division of American Oil Company. The lot includes editions for St. Louis, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, and a Metropolitan Indianapolis street map. Each cover features the distinctive Standard Oil torch logo set against a stylized mid-century landscape illustration with the slogan “As You Travel Ask Us.”
Interior maps present detailed highway systems, city insets, mileage tables, and regional information typical of Rand McNally cartography during the early Interstate era. The Indiana map displays a dense statewide road network radiating from Indianapolis, while the St. Louis and Indianapolis editions focus on metropolitan street layouts and surrounding suburbs. Reverse panels promote the Standard Oil credit card program, showing sample cards and listing participating states across the nationwide service network.
Shows moderate age-related wear including fold lines, light toning, and minor edge wear from handling. Colors remain bright and maps appear structurally intact overall.
