Examples in the lot include regional editions such as Georgia / North Carolina / South Carolina, Central and Western United States, Eastern United States, Kentucky and Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and a Metropolitan Boston and Cape Cod Info-Map. Covers feature classic Gulf advertising artwork including the iconic orange Gulf disc, illustrated roadside scenes, and service station imagery typical of mid-century travel promotion.
Interior maps display dense highway networks, mileage charts, regional insets, and points of interest for motorists navigating the growing American road system. Notable details include a Great Smoky Mountains National Park inset, extensive North Carolina and South Carolina city and town indexes, and a detailed Boston metropolitan street map with harbor, surrounding suburbs, and transportation listings.
