Colorful grouping of four lithographed and utilitarian tins spanning bakery, confectionery, personal care, and household goods. Includes a bright red Ericann’s Lebkuchen cookie tin marked “Manufactured by Ericann Candy Co., Chicago, Illinois, ” a round Peek Frean’s Famous Assorted Biscuits tin with medal and laurel wreath graphics (London, S.E., England), a cylindrical Dr. Price’s Phosphate Baking Powder metal container with embossed lid, and a green striped Mennen Talcum for Men tin reading “Use After The Bath.” The Peek Frean’s example retains its original lid and interior, while the Dr. Price’s can features a stamped metal top marked “Perfectly Made… 12 oz. Full Weight.”
All pieces show age-related wear including surface scratches, oxidation, scattered rust spotting, and minor denting. Peek Frean’s tin shows interior wear and light corrosion; Dr. Price’s container exhibits interior rust and finish loss; Mennen tin has edge wear and paint scuffs; Ericann’s tin shows scattered finish wear but retains strong color and legible graphics.
