Seven flow blue plates by Alcock, each decorated with blurred cobalt floral sprays against a white ground. The rims are gently scalloped with embossed detail, framing the pattern with a softened edge. A fine example of late 19th-century English tableware, showing the firm’s mastery of transfer decoration in the flow blue tradition.
Condition shows expected wear from use, with glaze crazing and minor imperfections consistent with age. Together they form a striking matched set that highlights the enduring beauty of Victorian ceramics.
