This Victorian covered butter dish by Henry Alcock & Co. features a domed lid with a looped finial and a matching underplate with scalloped rim. Both are decorated with cobalt floral transfers softened through the flow blue process, framed by a bold cobalt border with traces of gilt highlighting.
