Flow blue oval platter in the "Touraine" pattern.
This smaller serving platter by Henry Alcock & Co. is executed in semi-porcelain with the "Touraine" floral transfer softened into the body by the flow blue process. The scalloped rim is framed by a rich cobalt border, accented with traces of gilt along the edge. Compact in size yet richly decorated, this platter would have served for breads, cheeses, or smaller accompaniments, complementing the larger coordinated serving pieces in the Alcock table service. Stamped beneath with the Alcock shield crest and "Touraine" mark.
Appears to be free from chips or cracks.
